How Selling Works

From assessment request to settlement after the hammer on ChronoBid.

1. Request an assessment

Use Sell Your Watch. Send brand, model, reference, condition, papers, expected price, and six to twelve clear photos.

We reply with suitability notes when the watch fits an upcoming sale. Target reply is within two business days.

2. Agree estimate and reserve

If the watch fits, we discuss estimate range, reserve, and the 6% seller fee. Seller fee details are on Auction Fees and in your written consignment terms.

Written consignment terms come before the lot goes live. See Consignment Terms for the public summary.

3. Catalogue and sale

ChronoBid photographs and catalogues the watch under Our Watch Assessment Process (basic catalogue review).

The lot appears in the auction catalogue with published bidding rules. You can follow status from staff updates.

4. Settlement after the hammer

If the lot sells, proceeds settle after the buyer pays, net of the 6% seller fee and any agreed charges.

If the lot does not sell, unsold handling and any unsold charges are confirmed in writing.
