Privacy policy
Chrono Bid collects account details, bid activity, and support messages so we can run sales and reach you about pieces you follow.
What we collect
We collect account details you give us such as name, email, and contact information. We also keep bid activity, watchlist choices, consignment messages, and support notes tied to your account. Session data and cookies needed to keep you signed in may be stored on your device.
Why we use it
We use this information to run auctions, verify membership, send outbid and ending-soon notices, follow up on consignments, stop abuse, and answer support questions.
We may also send house updates about sales you follow. Ask on the Contact page to stop marketing notes.
The bid book
Collectors on the floor see bid amounts. Staff see who placed them. We do not publish a public list that pairs names with bids.
Sharing
We share personal information when the law requires it, or with processors that help us run the service under instructions from the house. We do not sell a public bidder list. If a third party gives us details about you during a sale, we treat them with the same care as information you send yourself.
Retention and access
We keep account and sale records while they are needed to run the house and settle past pieces. When we no longer need personal information for those purposes, we delete or de-identify it where we reasonably can.
You can ask to see what we hold about you, or to correct it, on the Contact page. We may need to confirm who you are before we release anything. A simple access request is free. We may charge a fair admin fee if you ask for large copies of records.
Updates and questions
This policy can change when the site or the house process changes. The current version lives on this page. Privacy questions go to the Contact page.
